Bio

Rohail Asrar, MD, joined the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in November 2015.

Before this, he was a Hospitalist at St. Barnabas Medical Center, which he started after his Internal Medicine Residency at Staten Island University Hospital, Staten Island, New York. Dr. Asrar received his Doctor of Medicine from Baqai Medical and Dental College, Karachi, Pakistan. This degree was recognized as Doctor of Medicine upon certification by the Education Council for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Dr. Asrar is a dedicated father of four children.

He tries his best to balance being a husband, father, baseball coach/soccer coach, and physician. Dr. Asrar likes to teach at any level and is always eager to review and discuss interesting cases. Dr. Asrar is involved in the New Brunswick Islamic Center health fairs and other community programs. He is a volunteer for several programs such as the North Brunswick Baseball and Softball Association of which he is a Board member.
