Bio
Dr. Mur is fellowship-trained in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery with expertise in microvascular reconstruction. He received his medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Mur is fluent in English and Arabic.
He completed his residency training in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University Medical Center in Boston. He then completed a specialized fellowship training in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. There he served as a clinical instructor and assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Mur treats a wide array of head and neck pathologies including those of the nasopharynx, oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, skin cancer of the head and neck, salivary glands, and thyroid/parathyroid glands. Furthermore, he has received special training in minimally invasive techniques, including transoral robotic surgery and transoral laser microsurgery.
He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and has participated in many scientific projects including a nationally funded grant comparing the effects of tobacco and vaping products on the airway. He is a member of the American Head and Neck Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, and Triological Society.
