Bio

Zahidul Mondal, MD is the Associate Fellowship Program Director, an Associate Professor, and a Transplant Nephrologist. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant Program. He completed medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, followed by a Fellowship in Nephrology at the same institution. He then pursued a Fellowship in Transplant Nephrology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is actively involved in educating medical students, residents, and fellows. He has published numerous papers on various topics in transplantation and has presented at national scientific meetings of the American Society of Nephrology and The American Transplant Congress. He has also been an invited Grand Rounds speaker at several institutions.
