How to Apply

The residency program selects five applicants per year from over 400 applications. All residents are selected through the National Resident Matching Program. The program uses the Electronic Residency Application Service ( ERAS) solely. No other applications will be accepted.

The criteria for ranking include personal interviews, three letters of recommendation, Dean’s letters, National Board scores, and personal statements. The deadline for application is OCTOBER 1st of each year. No other applications will be accepted after this deadline.

The department does not have a cut-off for USMLE scores, however, scores on USMLE 1 and 2 are taken into consideration. The department does not require, but would prefer, some US clinical experience. University policy does not allow sponsorship of H1 or H1B visas, but does accept J1 visas sponsored by the ECFMG. Age and year of graduation from medical school are not criteria for applying. Please review our housestaff contract and institutional policies found on our GME website.

Interviews are by invitation only, and will be scheduled on Fridays during November and December. Interviews will be scheduled with members of the OB/GYN Residency Selection Committee. Due to the volume of applications received, we cannot notify everyone who has applied to our residency if we are unable to offer an interview.
