Division of Pulmonary Medicine

Overview

The Division of Pulmonary Medicine and the Cystic Fibrosis Center provides care, research, and education for all aspects of childhood lung diseases and conditions. These include cystic fibrosis, asthma, pediatric sleep disorders, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and technology dependent children.

Clinical Care Services

In addition to the Cystic Fibrosis Center, the following centers and programs are affiliated with the Division of Pulmonary Medicine:

  • The Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Program provides diagnosis, management and treatment of children's sleep disorders. Polysomnography is conducted in our sleep center.
  • The Asthma Care Program offers treatment and follow-up of asthma from infancy to adolescence. Our nurses are available to provide asthma education to patients and their families.
  • The Pediatric Flexible Bronchoscopy Service is available for the diagnosis and/or treatment of several pediatric pulmonary conditions.
  • The Pediatric Home Ventilator and Tracheostomy Program for technology dependent children provides specialized care for children with chronic lung/airway disease requiring invasive and non-invasive ventilation at home.
