A Word From Our Chair

I am delighted about your interest in the Residency Program of the Department of Pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our program includes a comprehensive curriculum and expert faculty to provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge and a breadth of clinical experiences to develop strong clinical skills in an environment where you are given increasing levels of responsibility as you progress through the program. We are proud that our graduates are leaders in virtually all areas of pediatrics.

Our program is located on a Children’s Health campus that includes the Department of Pediatrics, the Child Health Institute housing our outpatient clinics, the Pediatric Clinical Research Center, and research laboratories, the Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital, the only Children’s Hospital in New Jersey solely dedicated to the care of children and designed to put the patient and family first, and the Children’s Specialized Hospital. We also practice at satellite locations in central New Jersey, in the community and at international sites. Our residents come from more than 30 medicals schools with diverse backgrounds and interests. The program leaders are innovators in medical education with experience in training residents. Our residents and faculty share an esprit de corps to share their knowledge and interests in providing the best care for children.

I am excited to share more information on our program with you and welcome your contacting me or any of our faculty in pursuing your interest with us.
