Global Health Fair

Since its inception in 2008, the Global Health Fair has become a cornerstone event for Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the broader Rutgers Health community, showcasing the depth and diversity of our commitment to global health. Annually featuring a distinguished keynote speaker renowned in the field of global health, this event offers a unique platform for faculty, residents, students, and staff to present their invaluable experiences in global health research, mission trips, and various outreach initiatives.

Over the years, we have proudly hosted 13 fairs—taking a brief hiatus for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, we were thrilled to resume this inspiring event, continuing our tradition of fostering knowledge exchange, and highlighting the impactful work of our community in addressing global health challenges. The Global Health Fair stands as a testament to our unwavering dedication to improving health worldwide, promoting collaboration, and encouraging innovative solutions to the most pressing health issues facing our global community today.

This year’s Global Health Fair will feature a faculty discussion. The panel will include faculty from RWJMS and NJMS who are actively engaged in international and local-global (“glocal”) health initiatives. Panelists will share their experiences leading research collaborations, educational exchanges, and mission-driven projects that address health challenges in diverse communities. The discussion aims to showcase the breadth of faculty engagement, highlight lessons learned from their global work, and inspire students and residents to pursue meaningful paths in Global Health.
